Nina wrapped her arms around him, more so to comfort Holmes instead of herself. She wanted him to break down so that he could heal. “Papa…”
“No more of this, Nina. It’s gone too far.” Holmes wouldn’t stop holding onto her when he did, though. He silently scolded himself for seeking comfort in her rather than giving it like he should.
